Welcome to the backyard, my friends. I'm your host, Nicole Berrios. Come on in, pull up a chair, and pour yourself a cup of tea. I have a lovely pot of uh something yummy that's in my mug today, if you would like to have some too. It would be great if I could actually give you guys some of this tea. What's in my mug today? I am drinking it's called Republic Red Chai Tea. Well, red chai. I think chai means tea. So when you say chai tea, it's redundant. This is definitely not a summertime drink. This is something that you drink more in the wintertime, but I have just been really wanting like yummy sweet stuff for what's in my mug lately. In addition to, you know, I I've mentioned in many episodes that I'm also drinking herbs for hormone balance. Um, and that's just kind of part of my daily routine. But it gets kind of boring, you know, me telling you guys, like, oh, I've got her herbs in my mug again with, you know, Lu Wei Di Huangwan and whatever other Chinese herbs I'm throwing in there. It's all like kind of the same because yes, I'm still doing that, and yes, the tea in conjunction with some supplements that I've been taking have been making a significant difference. But I also have to like have a little something else so that I don't get completely bored. So today what's in my mug? Republic red chai. Something I got at the herb shop up the street from my house. It's basically just chai, but with Roibos, um, red tea instead of black tea, because I can't have black tea. Um, I can't have the caffeine unless I want to feel like death for two to four hours. No joke. Can't have caffeine like that. I really wish I could because I I used to love black tea, but I've just developed a crazy sensitivity to it. It's got roibos, orange peel, cinnamon, ginger, cardamom seed, anise seed, black pepper, and cloves. I cooked it straight with almond milk. I didn't add any water, it's just I cooked the tea in the almond milk. I added some agave and I used my little frother thingy. I don't know what you call it. The little the little electrical frother thing. And that's what I'm drinking. It's really good. So pour yourself a cup. Alright, I am actually sitting in my car. I couldn't find a good place to record today, so I came out to the car, but it's hot, so I have the windows down a little bit, so I don't, you know, suffocate. And you might hear cars driving by in the background. I apologize, but it is what it is. This is all about coming into the backyard, or in this case, my driveway, and having a nice little chat rambly conversation. So here we are. This is real life. Okay. And what I wanted to talk about today was, well, first of all, happy June. We are now in June. Can you believe it? I can't believe we're in June. I do have to say that we've had, I almost feel like I shouldn't say this because I don't want to jinx it. And I've heard many people that live here say the same thing. Um, so we all we all get the struggle, but we've had fabulous weather. It just hasn't been that hot. Today's the hottest it's been. It's like 103 today, which if you have ever been to the desert in June, July, August, and into September, 103 isn't that bad. And this is the first day we've had in a while where it's been triple digits. It's been like in the high 80s, low 90s, really, really nice. Like I said, today's the warmest day. So considering that it's now the first of June, I'm like, I will take it. I will take it. That's not not too bad at all. So, happy June. We made it. Halfway mark. And what I wanted to talk about today is something that has been prevalent in my life, and it also kind of ties back in with my my last episode, not the blue moon one. Although I talked about this a little in the blue moon in the blue moon episode, but the one on burnout recovery. Sorry, I had to fix my microphone there. I don't know, that probably sounded weird. On your guys' end. Sorry about that. Um, and it's the last, yeah, last episode I was talking about burnout recovery and like rituals that you can do to help recover from burnout. And I I did a multi-day candle burning spell as part of that, and I shared it with you guys. I actually just finished it last night for the blue moon because it took forever for that candle to burn all the way down. And I thought, well, for this episode, really what I wanted to talk about was it it kind of goes along with the burnout theme, but it's more along the lines of how do you stay magical when you're exhausted or you're burnt out or you're on the struggle bus, whatever. You're not feeling optimal, but you still want to show up and be magical. That's what this episode is all about. And I thought to preface it, I would like I really wanted to share the results, at least so far, of my candle burning spell. And I've been actually pretty like surprised and impressed with how the how the spell has been unfolding. Because, you know, it was a multi-day spell, which was perfectly appropriate for somebody with burnout because I don't have a lot of energy to spare, and I didn't have I felt like I couldn't just do a one one-shot, one and done spell or ritual because I just didn't have the energy to put into it to like really give it some oomph. So instead I did it slower over time, and it just so worked out that I got to draw upon the the magic of the full the blue moon last night. So that was pretty cool. But I wanted to kind of describe how things are unfolding so far, and I'm sure this is just going to continue unfolding like as time goes on, as things do. But so far, what I have noticed is um the the major thing is that I have more appetite. Now, this was this was actually a really big issue that I have been having. I've struggled with low appetite for kind of a long time, actually. It I feel like this started a decade ago. What year is this? 2026? No, it was longer than that. It was like 2015, I think. Yeah, over a decade ago. I um started seeing a naturopath for like some really weird health symptoms that I was having. I went on a like an anti-Candida diet. I don't know if you guys have ever done a candida diet, but it's um it's doozy. I've been on many, not diets, but I've tried many different like eating styles over the years, and I gotta tell you, the candida diet was the suckiest one. I hated everything about it. I I kind of feel like it was the candida diet combined with having to start eating meat again that really started to ruin my relationship with food. Well, not ruin, but make it challenging. I had been um vegan for a really, really long time. I first went vegetarian when I was 19 because I wanted to. I did it for ethical reasons and I felt really, really good about it. And um at that point in my life, I didn't know anything about food. I didn't know anything about vegetables. I had to like go to the bookstore and buy cookbooks, and this was before YouTube, like just before YouTube came out, and there weren't really a lot of recipe blogs, so like I didn't know I didn't know how to eat, so I had to like teach myself, and it was like fun, it was like a fun experimental phase where I was just like learning how to cook new things and experimenting with all different kinds of foods that I'd never known about before, and then I was I was vegetarian for five years, and then I decided that I was gonna go full vegan, and then I was full vegan for seven years, I think, until my body basically like just needed a different type of protein, like I kind of had to start eating meat again. I gotta tell you, the first time that I ate meat after being vegan for so long, I cried because I I went vegan for ethical reasons, and having like to admit that my body just needed meat, protein was a really, really hard thing for me to accept. And so like I I feel as if my relationship with foods really started to shift around that point, and then going on the Candida diet, even though it was like short term and it didn't actually address the issue that I was hoping it would address. That's I I feel like it all just went downhill from there. And I've struggled with my appetite ever since then. And it's when I'm burnt out, it's worse. I just don't want to eat anything at all, or I just want to eat like a bag of chips, you know, like it's it's not good, and I knew it wasn't good, which is why I did the spell in the first place. And my appetite has been like the first thing to come back. Now, it hasn't been perfect. I still have days where I'm like, oh, I don't really feel like eating anything. However, I'm more inspired by food than I have been in years. It's been refreshing, I gotta say. It's been so refreshing. So I'm like, oh yeah, I used to like cooking and I used to like chopping vegetables. And one thing that's been really interesting, I mentioned in the last episode, is that I I suddenly felt like I wanted to make this dish that I haven't had in like over a decade. It was um tempeh, like tempe. I wanted to make like a tempeh BLT, except, you know, like tempeh substitutes for the bacon. And like with um like a sauce and zucchini. It was like one of my one of the first meals that I learned how to make when I first went. Um, was it vegetarian or vegan? I don't remember, but it was one of the first things that I cooked for myself. And I suddenly got a craving for it and was like, I'm gonna make that again. And then like all throughout the week, I've just been like revisiting my vegan days, you know, like, oh yeah, I used to make these black bean patties, and oh, I used to make these fritters with like this lentil sauce and this cashew cream sauce, like fancy stuff. And I've been like, like I said, revisiting the vegan glory days, and it's been so nice. I so didn't expect this at all, but it's nice because I'm doing it because I want to, and I'm also still like eating some meat in moderation because I do need more protein than I can get with just plants alone. And the balance of it all is much more holistic, and I feel like I have finally started to heal this old wound that I've had with food, and so if if this is all that I get out of doing the bur the anti-burnout ritual, I will take it because this has been so worth it. And it's actually been kind of nice because I've been enjoying getting back into the kitchen and cooking again, like going and chopping vegetables and cutting up bell peppers and I don't know, it's like I'm getting into a meditative state and and just getting into the flow. And if I'm feeling so inspired, I have um I have one of those Mother Mary candles that you can get at like the grocery store. And well, I don't know about everywhere, but I I live in Arizona and like there's there's Mother Mary candles like at every grocery store. So like you can easily just find them. It's like I I really like working with the energy of Mother Mary. I also feel like it connects me to my Italian roots. So I keep one in my kitchen. I actually feel like I have one in every room of the house now that I think about it. But I keep one in the kitchen and I will light it sometimes because it I feel like it connects me to my my grandfather and sometimes my great-grandmother, and then it kind of feels like they're cooking with me, which is nice. I don't know, like the kitchen has become like this portal where I like channel this energy of my ancestors and we're just cooking a meal together, and it's been nice, it's been so nice, and what I'm noticing is that it doesn't actually take a lot of time. I feel like back in my actual vegan days, I would be in the kitchen for hours just prepping and you because I would make everything from scratch, and then my back would hurt, my feet would hurt, and it was exhausting. That was like part of the like towards the end, like the beginning of the end when I was starting to be like, ugh, I don't want food, because it just took forever. And so now instead of like doing this crazy meal prep where I'm like, I'm gonna cook for the whole week, I'm just no, I'm just cooking like a little bit by little bit. I'm not doing any crazy prep. It's been great. So that's been like the biggest thing that I've noticed, the biggest shift that I've noticed since doing the burnout spell. And um, needing like having food and proper nutrition is hugely helpful when you're recovering from burnout. So go me. I'm excited about that. I have also noticed that I am no longer feeling the sensation of going through the motions, which is good because that was awful. I don't like that feeling that you're just doing the same thing, you know, like stuck in the same routine. So that has been nice. I am also feeling more inspiration at work. I have found a couple of like new areas of study. One of the cool things about Chinese medicine is that you only learn like this tiny little bit of it when you're in school, because that's what they test on um on the board exams, so that you can get your license. But that just like scratches the surface. Like there's this whole huge, vast wealth of knowledge and information and different schools of thought. Like it's old medicine, thousands of years old. And the the cool stuff, this is like how I started studying shamanism, and which is not Chinese medicine, but most of the Chinese medicine doctors of old were shamans. But this the shamanism that I studied was not part of my Chinese medicine curriculum, they were two different things. But I I started studying shamanism because I really wanted to learn the cool stuff, which you couldn't get to until you like finished levels one and two. And that's kind of how acupuncture school was. Like, I there were this these really cool topics that I'm like, I want to learn about those, but it's like, oh, I can't learn about those until I get through the board exams first. And here I am almost 12 years later. This month is my 12-year acupuncture license anniversary. And I'm now just like, oh yeah, remember I was gonna learn about the ghost points, and I was gonna learn like really in depth about the five elements, and I was gonna learn the window of the sky points. Like, this is all they're like concepts in Chinese medicine that aren't really mainstream. So, anyways, I've been much more inspired at work and feeling like connected to the people that I help more and like thinking outside of the box with my treatment protocols. I did a really cool shamanic session on somebody last week, so I've been doing more shamanic sessions. I'll have like periods of time where I do like a lot of shamanic sessions, and then it it like it comes in waves, and then it'll peter off, and then it comes back, and like I've been having more shamanic sessions lately, which is good. I need to be able to like maintain my skills. Um, I also, because this is the uh the month that I got my license, I have to renew my license every year in June, and as part of that, I have to take continuing education. The ghost points that I'm learning about, which I'm gonna do a whole episode just on that because it's so freaking cool and it links up like so perfectly to shamanism that I'm like, this is no coincidence. And yeah, anyways, episode for a different day. The ghost points is just something I'm reading about because I want to. The continuing education that I'm taking, one was in perimenopause, like Chinese medicine for perimenopause, and the other one is in scar therapy, like learning this really cool technique for scar therapy, which is all exciting and just ties into my my Gemini nature, like learning all these various different things. So, anyways, more inspired with my work. I've also just been more motivated in general to get things done and having more ideas. But the trade-off, or at least this, I think this is just part of my evolution and my healing process, is that I am exhausted, utterly exhausted. I I really think this is just like a big fat manifestor rest cycle where I just need so much sleep. And like once it like once I wake up for the day, I'm up. So that means like this morning, if my kid wakes me up at 3 52 in the morning, that's it. I can't go back to sleep. That kind of sucks, but it is what it is, and so I I kind of have to take naps, but since becoming a mom, I can't nap normally anymore. I'm hoping that at some point I will be able to nap normally again. And when I say nap normally, I mean like be able to go into my room, lay down on a bed, and knock out for two hours. I used to be the best napper, and then I became a mom to a kid who didn't nap. Even as a baby, she didn't nap unless she was on me in the baby wrap, or if she was in the car seat and I was driving. That was it. So there was no opportunity for mom to nap. And so it just became like, I don't know, my nervous system. I just I can't nap. Like I can't nap in a bed. Very, very frustrating. But I am able to nap a little bit in a chair. I make fun of myself because I feel like an old man. Nothing against old men. It's just I feel like a grandpa, like I have to I have to be in a recliner, and that seems to be the only way that I can nap. Which means that if there's people home, I can nap for little spurts, but then eventually someone's gonna wake me up. If I'm home alone, I can nap for longer, but even then it's still not very long. So, any anyways, I have to take like little short naps in my chair like a grandpa, and I'm having to do that more often, which is it it's frustrating, but I'm also just going with it because I understand that this is just what my body needs right now, and that's okay. I'm also having to just do things slower, which is also okay. It feels a little bit weird, especially at this time of year, because it's like we're almost at the summer solstice. That's like peak yong energy. This is when people are out of school, they're traveling, it's all like fun and adventure sort of time, and I'm just like, I just want to take a nap in my chair. I I just thought about this today. I realized because I I've been joking, like, I wish I could put the recliner in my room and close the door. That way I can like kind of nap when everybody's home and hopefully not be woken up as much. And then I just remembered today that I have zero gravity chairs at the office or somewhere. I don't know where they are. I think I lent them to somebody, and I need to get at least one of them back because I think I'm gonna stick a zero gravity chair in my room, and that's gonna be my napping chair. I'll have to let you guys know how that goes. Anyways, I'm having to go a lot slower. Um, I am definitely not feeling inspired by housework. I can tell you that much. Um, I've I've been more inspired at work, more inspired to cook and eat better. But like chores, housework, uh normally that's the first thing that I want to do. I'm like, yeah, let's clean the house, let's, you know, make it look nice, but man, I really have to drag myself to do things. And so I've just decided, again, this is what my body needs. I'm just gonna take it slow. So if I have to do the dishes, like that's all I'm doing. And then I'm gonna go sit down in my chair and read and then close my eyes like a grandpa. I'm just resting my eyes, and um, that's just what I've been doing. So that's that's how the burnout recovery is going thus far. I am very impressed with the results of. The work that I've been doing. But I still want to be magical, even if I am exhausted and I am still in, you know, coming out of the burnout recovery, and my energy levels are just not there yet. But they they will be. So, how am I being magical, anyways? This is I it's like a list that I made. I don't I didn't number the how many points. It was like seven of them. Seven ways that I am being magical despite being exhausted. And here's how you can do the same if you want to be magical and you're exhausted too. Number one, I am focusing on the present moment a lot more than I typically do. And I know that so many mindfulness practitioners and meditation teachers, like this is kind of like rule number one, you focus on the present moment, but it's it's hard to do when you're busy, even though that's ironically when you need it the most is when you're busy. But I feel like because I've been so exhausted, I really don't have any other option but to be in the present moment, and that has allowed me to just notice small things that make me feel magical or remind me that the magic is already around me. And one of one of those things is taking really, really good deep breaths. I something that I've struggled with over the years, this was actually like the precursor to me discovering acupuncture. I don't think I've told this story, at least on the podcast. I used to have horrible, debilitating, crippling anxiety. It's significantly better. I'm mostly in remission from it. Every once in a while it will flare up, but if it does, it's usually because of something, like it has a cause. And the first thing that started happening when I first started getting the anxiety is I got something that I now call chestnut. Even though it's not really in my chest, it's lower, it's more like in my diaphragm area, but it basically feels like you can't get a deep breath. And oh, chestnut is the worst. So with this burnout and just like being slower and taking lots of naps, I don't have chestnut. And I think it's because I'm able to just be more present in my body and I'm going slower. And because of that, I'm taking really, really good breaths. And from coming from somebody who's had chestnut and struggled with like being able to get nice deep breaths because of anxiety in the past, it is so nice to be able to take a good breath. So that's one way that I'm being magical, is I'm working with my breath, which your breath is magic that like connects you directly to the source of everything. In fact, I'm pretty sure the word qi, you know, like life force energy is how it's typically referred to. I think a more accurate translation for qi is oxygen. I heard that from one of my teachers in school who um spoke and read Chinese, and I really resonated with that because oxygen is life force, like you're breathing in the same air that your ancestors did, and I don't know. Breath like breathing definitely can make you feel more connected to the magic all around you, and so getting nice deep breaths makes me feel very magical, and it also just feels really good. Okay, number two, looking at the sky and feeling the wind on my skin. These are things that I do all the time, anyways, but because I am moving slower, I am really leaning into this because it's so simple, but it's so easy to overlook this the simple things like a beautiful sky, a beautiful sunset, and and the wind. I feel like unless it's very windy and obvious, we don't really appreciate like a light breeze or even just still air, like just feeling air on your skin. And so I've I make it a make it a point to go outside, even if it's for just a minute or two, and I feel the wind. In shamanism, um, the the view, worldview of shamanic practitioner is animism. So everything has a spirit, including the wind, including the sky and the clouds, so I just say hi. Like if there's clouds, like hey clouds, especially if there's clouds, because I live in the desert. It's not cloudy here very often. But the wind, I love talking to the wind. Because I'm I've got a lot of air in my chart, so that's that's my sign. I love talking to the wind. So that's another way that I am feeling magical while I don't have energy to do thorough magic. Number three. I put what did I I wrote. I wrote a list. The importance of a consistent practice even when you're exhausted. Okay. I have been making it a point to do a small little altar practice. I I've got lots of little rituals that I've that I do, but one that is a is a good way for me to just feel connected to my spiritual practice overall is to do something at my altar. And it's depending on the time of the day, if I have enough time in the morning before I have to head out the door, what I like to do is I just I stand at my altar for gosh, sometimes as little as 30 seconds. I take a nice breath in. I have a really um nice essential oil roller that a friend of mine made for me. That's my favorite one. I think it's Angelica. I love it. I roll some of that on on my um my wrists, and then I take a whiff, and I put some on my neck too, and then a little bit on my chest, and like that's kind of part of my ritual. If I have more time, I will pull one tarot card for the day from a deck called Spirit Song Tarot. It's like an animal deck. Really beautiful artwork. The artist is named uh Paulina Faye, I believe. I've seen two last names for this artist slash author. Fey is one of them, which makes me wonder if that's um like a chosen name. I can't remember what the other last name was. I will link to the deck in the show notes because it's a beautiful deck and it's really nice for single card pulls. So that's it. Like that's my little morning ritual if I have enough time, and I try to make sure that I have enough time. I pull one single card and I put on my oil. Boom, done. What was that? Number three? I think that was number three. The importance of a consistent practice. Yeah, so that's just a little thing that I try to do consistently to just stay on top of my practice, even though I'm feeling tired. It doesn't take much effort. Number four, gentle stretching and yoga. This goes a long way. You could also do qigong, tai chi, doesn't really matter. Some sort of a gentle movement practice for me in particular. This makes me feel very connected to my body, and it also just allows me to get very grounded, which kind of goes along with the I need to do everything slow thing that's happening to me right now. Um, so that's been a good way to contribute to my burnout recovery too, and still feel magical because again, you're breathing, you're moving your body, you're feeling connected, and you're grounded, like you get to be on the ground. It's one thing that I love about yoga you just get to be on the earth. Super easy. Number five, getting up uh for a few minutes to watch the sun come up and call in the directions. This one is a little tricky at this time of year because the sun comes up really early where I live because we don't do the time change like all of the other states do. So the sun comes up at like 445, I think. I don't know, I have I have to double check that, but it comes up really early, and it will continue to come up early as we get closer to the solstice in a few weeks. Um, but I'm I'm like a bird and I rise with the sun anyway, so like I just I wake with the sun, I don't even have to set an alarm, um, except for the winter time because the sun comes up later and I need to be up. But at this time of year, I do not need to set an alarm. And I if I have enough energy, this is a little tricky because I'm low on energy lately. But when I feel like I've got just a little bit more energy, I get up, I go outside, and I watch the sun come up. If the sun is already up, that's fine. I just say hello to the sun, and then I call in the directions. This is something that's also called calling quarters in like more witchcraft wicca traditions. Same concept, you face each direction and then you just say hello to each direction. It takes like, depending on how elaborate you want to make this, it can take anywhere from like 30 seconds to significantly longer. But we're talking about like burnout recovery rituals and magic here, so it's short. And that's a really nice way to feel oriented with the land that you're on and be connected in like time and space, and it goes back to that being present thing that I was talking about earlier. So um, that's some simple magic that I've been doing um a couple times a week to help me stay connected to my practice. Uh, what was that? Number five. I think that was number five. Okay, number six, Insight Timer Meditations. If you guys don't know about Insight Timer, it's a meditation app. It's it's huge. Insight timer is a huge app. They've got a free version, which you can get a lot of stuff with just the free version. You there's also the paid version where you can get access to everything. There's thousands of teachers on Insight Timer, so many different types of meditations, or music, or talks, or singing bowls. Like there's so, so, so much. It's a little bit overwhelming, actually. But I have one particular teacher on Insight Timer that I love. Her name is Sarah Robinson. I will link to this in the show notes. She does meditations. I think, I think her um channel is called Enchanted Journeys Meditations. I love them so much. For one, her voice is beautiful. I just I love her voice, but she does like guided journeys. And she does like the whole wheel of the year, she does like guided journeys where you connect with goddesses and guided meditations to help you um connect with yourself, connect with the seasons. And there the time frame on these are not very long, it's like anywhere from 15 to 30 minutes. So, a lot of times what I will do, if I'm feeling very frazzled, I'll just go like duck out somewhere and put on one of her meditations. And doing one of those journeys is like one of the best ways to feel magical and like very low effort magic. You just show up, put on the meditation, and go on the journey that she takes you on. It's so nice. And if I am able, I will, I know not everybody is in this position, but if I'm able, I will also give myself acupuncture and then put on a meditation. And it's like a double whammy. Like I get needle magic and the enchanted journeys magic too. So that has been really, really helpful for making me feel magical when I have no energy to be very magical. Uh, what was that? Number five, number six. I've lost count, you guys. I I just made a bullet list and I forgot to number them. So if I get this next number wrong, if you've been keeping better track than I have, awesome. Thank you. I think this is number six. Appreciating art. Especially with tarot and oracle cards. So you guys hear me talk a lot about how I pull tarot cards and I I pull oracle cards. I love my Seasons of the Witch oracles. Um, I've got a couple other oracles too, but I really, really love tarot in particular. Like tarot is my jam. Oracles are not my favorite. They have to be, they have to be like correct for me. But I love I love pulling tarot cards, and I have to say that when I'm feeling like low energy, I don't have a lot of mental power to like really read the cards, which makes me super frustrated. But I still love pulling the cards because I love looking at the art. This is why I have multiple tarot decks, because I appreciate art of all different types. I love colors. I just especially with tarot because they all follow like the same style of deck, or you know, the same like layout of the they call it the Ryderweight Smith deck. I think it should be called the Pamela Coleman Smith deck because she is the artist of the deck. But it follows her art and the way that that deck is laid out, and there's like thousands of different interpretations of the tarot cards, and it's so fun to look at the different interpretations, and that's that's a way that I stay magical that's like very easy for me as I pull tarot cards. Um, and if I'm having a better day where I have a little bit more energy, I can like really do a good reading. And if it's a day where I don't have a lot of energy, then I still get the benefit of looking at the art. And then I don't even bother with like thinking about what does the five of wands mean again? And instead I just look at the art and then I'm like, what does this art mean to me? It's actually helped me in a way to improve my tarot reading because I'm relying way less on like the book knowledge, and I'm relying a lot more on what I see in the cards and how I interpret it. And I'm finding myself like needing to look at guidebooks way less frequently. Sometimes I do because I'm curious. I'm like, what does this author say about this? Like, what's their take on this particular card? But um, yeah, burnout is making me a better tarot reader, which is funny. I didn't expect that. Um, so that's that's a way that I'm able to feel magical almost every day. I always pull cards. I do the one card in the morning from my spirit song tarot, and then um I usually like at some other point during the day, usually towards the end of the day, I'll do like just a basic three-card spread. I'm not doing any crazy like Celtic cross spreads right now because I don't have the energy for it, but just a three-card spread, and then maybe pull a card from my my Beltane Oracle deck golden. Sometimes I'll pull multiple cards from the Beltane deck because I love the artwork. And I feel like the art transports me to the artist's imagination. It's it's like going on a journey, so that's a really, really solid way for me to feel magical with no energy is looking at beautiful art and exploring the tarot. Uh, what was that? Number six, I don't know. Number seven, lighting altar candles or just lighting candles in general. Super, super easy magic. Who doesn't feel witchy and magical with candles lit? And I'm not talking about doing candle spells, even though I just did one recently. Like I'm just talking about lighting a candle and just having it light the room up super easy, always will make me feel better. So that's number seven, and then the last one, number eight, nine, ten, lost track of everything. Taking baths. Or uh, if I don't feel like taking a bath, and this would also be good for people who don't have bathtubs, I will take a shower and I scrub with Epsom salt. Um, I I discovered this because I have a lot of clients that could really benefit from like taking a soak in Epsom salt, but they don't have bathtubs, or for men in particular, like men just don't like taking baths. And so I kind of gave up telling them to take baths. And instead I was like, how about you just get a bag of Epsom salt, take a shower, like grab a handful of the salt and scrub yourself with it. I started doing that myself. I don't necessarily know if it works the same, like penetrating into the muscles as it does as if you were soaking, but it does energetically clear you, and it's it's just kind of nice. You get a nice little exfoliation. Um, so that's that's also a super low-key way to stay magical is to just like connect to the water. You're very grounded, very yin, very nurturing. You can light some candles there too. Um, this also applies to taking a shower. I've had candlelight showers before. Um, and that works too. It still feels magical. And um yeah, low effort. Totally low effort. Okay, that is all I have for you. Seven or eight or nine or ten, however many uh reasons or things that was to stay magical when you're on the struggle bus, when you're exhausted, when you're in burnout, not having the best time, but you still want to be connected to a practice. Those are all just things that I have been doing for myself. And if any of you resonate with any of those, like totally run with it or create your own. But I would just encourage you to try to stay magical even when life doesn't feel magical because it helps you get through it easier, it like gives you a reason, and just it's just a good reminder, like it reminds you that things are not always that bad, like there's always there's always something to look forward to, there's always little nuggets of good, even when things aren't as great as you would like them to be.
